Spring Whites Released

Since it feels like the Okanagan has been in full summer for over a month now, we are excited to get our new white wine releases into your glass.  2015 vintage whites are showing lush full fruit flavours, but still enough retained acidity, even in a hot year, to keep some freshness.

Pinot Gris 2015 - $19.99*
The 2015 vintage shows bright fruit character with fresh citrus and ripe tangerine. With our focus on building texture in the wine, it is rich and lush on the palate, but balanced with a pink grapefruit splash of acidity on the finish. Bliss!

Viognier 2015 - $22.99*
With grapes sourced from our Perfect Hedge vineyard in Osoyoos, Viognier is a unique white varietal combining a luscious mouthfeel with amazing aromatics.

*Note:  Our wines are now priced net of tax.  Taxes are applied at check out depending on the province to which we are shipping.

Tickets are $125 plus tax.  Email preferredshare@laughingstock.ca to reserve one of the limited seats.

Winemaking with Concrete Eggs?

David is often fine-tuning his winemaking techniques by exploring new tools.  Since 2009, he has been using concrete egg tanks in our white wine program. A new twist on an old material, concrete tanks have been used in Europe for a long time but the shape of the fermenter is new.

The unique egg shape forces the wine into a natural convection current during fermentation, which keeps the wine in constant contact with lees.  Lees contact adds a creamy, richness to the finished wine – making the wine seem fuller in your mouth. Something you'll notice in both our new white wine releases.

We affectionately named them Free Range, Scrambled,  Benedict and recently added Fabergé to our egg collection last harvest.
