Wine Enthusiast Reviews

It's one thing to have local wine media review our wines as they already know how wonderful BC wine is. However, its completely another to have a well respected US magazine review our wines when they have the world of wine on their pages.

Phew, exhale.  They like BC wine too.

Portfolio 2014 - 94 Points - Cellar Selection

"A full-on, five-grape, Bordeaux-style blend—half Merlot. Dark, dense and textural, it's loaded with blackberry and black cherry fruit, swathed in baking spices, cinnamon and mocha. The tannins are beautifully managed, and it should drink magnificently through the mid-2020s."

Pinot Gris 2015 - 90 Points - Best Buy

"This wine may surprise you with its rich round full-bodied fruit. It's not the racy, high-acid style you might expect from a BC winery–rather it pumps up the flavors with pear, peach and papaya front and center, clean and fresh. Fermentation took place in a mix of oak, concrete egg and steel."

Order online or call the winery at 250.493.8466 and we'll ship direct to your door.

Wines available in the USA

Now since the secret is out on BC wine, you and your US friends can enjoy Laughing Stock wines state-side.  Maybe our American neighbours may need a glass of wine (or two) with the current political dramas.

Order online at www.winebcusa.com where you will also find some of your other favourite BC wines.

C'mon Spring, We're Ready!

We don't have to tell Vancouverites what a snowy winter it's been, but truly, this has been the whitest winter we've experienced on the Naramata Bench in the 15 winters we've been here.

With the last few warm vintages in the Okanagan, we've gotten used to pruning in T-shirts. Not so much this year.

While there has been a lot of snow, the weather does seem to be tracking to average temperature ranges and thus we expect a more 'normal' bud break timing.  Remember, farmers (and most stock market investors) are an optimistic bunch.
