Portfolio 2015 Release
Invest in Liquid Assets

Having been sold out at the winery since June, we are pleased to finally release the 2015 vintage of Portfolio, our flagship wine.

The 2015 vintage of this Bordeaux inspired blend combining the five classic varietals: 45% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot to create a multi-layered, complex wine.

The result is a wine with a bold nose with aromas of blackberry, warm raspberry, vanilla bean and some earthy herbal notes. The tannins are powerful but have a velvety texture that will provide longevity in the wine, as it has in previous vintages. As always, Portfolio is a full bodied wine with ample concentration and complexity that will develop for years to come.

$44.99/bottle plus tax.  Also available in Magnums and Double Magnums.

Order online or call the winery at 250.493.8466 and we'll ship direct to your door.

Harvest 2017 Begins

First grapes in and yup they are RED. These beauties are Merlot grapes from the Naramata Bench. Only the second time in our 15 harvests where reds beat the whites in at harvest. It happened also in 2015 which was one of hottest growing years on record.

To see which of the past Okanagan vintages were hot years, see our vintage review.

We are learning (and yes, grape growing and winemaking is a continual educational journey), that in these really hot years that the white grapes stall out in development during hot summer days, but the red grapes thrive in that heat.

Forbes Article Highlights Okanagan Visionaries

BC continues to attract international media interested in our relatively unknown wine region.  A journalist from Forbes Magazine recently visited the Okanagan Valley and featured our Viognier 2016 as one of 10 wines that tell the future of Okanagan wine. Read the full article here.

"It's exceptionally expressive, with its layers being teased out during fermentation and aging in oak, stainless steel, and concrete. (Along with the Okanagan Crush Pad, Laughing Stock was the first to introduce concrete eggs in the region.) Made from 100% estate fruit, harvested in two pickings ten days apart, it features the appealing and hard-to-get-right combination of Gewürztraminer aromatics (especially orange blossoms) and heft of Chardonnay.
