Portfolio 2017 - Capitalize on this Blue Chip Release

The culmination of hundreds, if not thousands of carefully considered, painstakingly made, “really, really good” decisions - our flagship Portfolio wine makes it all so very much worthwhile.

Portfolio 2017 is a worthwhile investment. It combines the five classic Bordeaux varietals: 48% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot to create a multi-layered, complex wine. Using double sorting tables to sort grapes first by cluster, then by berry allows us to put meticulous attention on using only the best grapes in this wine. And after 20 months in French oak barrels, the wine is approachable now but could cellar for a decade.

$49.99/bottle plus tax.  Also available in impressive Magnums and Double Magnums, remember Christmas is less than 8 weeks away.

Order online or call the winery at 250.493.8466 and we'll ship direct to your door.

Harvest 2019

Harvest finished this week and now it's all about ferments, pumpovers, and barrels.

We were fortunate to have had a very good growing season for the majority of the season, allowing us to achieve full maturity across all varieties even though the end of the season was cooler than normal.

We missed the frost that hit some areas in early October which left the late ripening red varieties hanging giving them the opportunity to mature.

The cooler fall weather allowed for longer hang time on the vine which helped develop varietal expression in the fruit, while keeping final alcohol levels in check. Acid was nicely retained due to this weather pattern creating crisp fresh whites and reds with vibrant dark colour. The wines will be complex and balanced.
