Spring Wine Release:
Pinot Gris & Viognier

Spring means two things, bud break in the vineyard coinciding with the release of the 2018 Vintage white wines.

Pinot Gris 2018 - $19.99*

Pinot Gris ripens easily and consistently produces an enjoyable, fruit forward and food friendly wine.  The grapes were whole cluster pressed to ensure aromas and flavours are vibrant and free of astringency or bitterness. 

The wine has notes of pear, white peach, citrus, and hints of fresh blossoms. The palate is bright and juicy with just the right amount of acidity to add balance to the generous flavours and allows for a nice lengthy finish.

Viognier 2018 - $24.99*

A varietal that loves the heat, made from our Viognier grapes grown at our Perfect Hedge vineyard in Osoyoos.  The intense floral aromas are combined with a palate of fresh Okanagan peach, almond and a hint of honeydew melon. This is an elegant, well balanced wine that offers plenty of body and a long smooth finish.

Amphora - VRM
Viognier Roussanne Marsanne

Our initial foray into the world of natural wine started in 2013, and in 2018 we added 4 additional Amphora, allowing us to continue to build on this passion we have for natural wines.  Our latest release – 2018 Amphora VRM pays tribute of our 2013 inaugural Amphora using the three white varietals to create this unique wine.

This is a blend of 50% Viognier, 17% Roussanne, and 33% Marsanne.  At harvest, we placed whole berry Viognier grapes in 3 of our 500L terracotta Amphorae.  The other 3 Amphorae were filled 2/3 Marsanne and 1/3 Roussanne.  All 6 vessels were left covered and untouched for 65 days.  The grapes were then pressed together and aged further in Amphora and neutral barrel.  This hands-off approach resulted in slower extraction from the grape skins, while the tannin worked as a natural antioxidant to the wine.  This wine has notes of quince, beeswax, and tropical fruits with hints of baking spice. Makes a perfect aperitif.
