2021 Chardonnay Release

It's an exciting time at LFNG! Harvest has officially begun and we are releasing our 2021 Chardonnay. We know many of you have been waiting for this no risk investment – so have we.

Chardonnay 2021 - Making a well-balanced Chardonnay is a challenge that requires both a level of judgment and restraint to fully showcase the fruit characteristics, together with fullness and finesse. The 2021 vintage will be remembered for a long time. The season was marked by intense heat, resulting in smaller berries bursting with excellent fruit intensity. 

The grapes were fermented 78% in
barrel and 22% in concrete eggs, with 19% being new french oak. Partial malolactic conversion was allowed to occur and the wine was aged in barrel for 9 months. This, combined with lees stirring, created complexity and a sense of balance that doesn’t overpower the fruit flavours.
