Market Bubble 2022
wine profile
6 Bottle Maximum
A classic blend of 53% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay with 4% Pinot Blanc.
The nose balances aromas of ripe lemon and fresh ginger with notes of pear, apple, almond and icing sugar. The palate offers lemon sorbet notes with bright acidity and slight sweetness. Overall, this is fresh and juicy with a long finish. This versatile wine will pair well with everything from cheese, salads and pasta to fish, grilled white meats and lightly sweetened desserts..
Winemaking notes
Our third vintage was made in the Traditional Method and spent 40 months on the lees. The combination of using three varieties and fermenting and aging them separately created a complex wine that expresses a fresh fruit profile while showcasing depth of flavor. The wines were fermented separately in stainless-steel and disgorged in August 2026 before being bottled with a dosage of 2.5g/L
Vintage Notes
The 2022 season kicked off late with a cool start to the season and finished with an amazingly warm and dry fall. The microclimates within the vineyards played a large role in the ripening of different varietals as the right slope and aspect can help collect warmth on the cooler days. Bud break and flowering was delayed by about two weeks with the cool weather, but August and September came through with higher-than-average temperatures which luckily lasted through most of October as well, ensuring that our late-ripening reds matured.
The hot and dry weather in October was invaluable, resulting in more intense aromatics in our late ripening whites and reds with concentration and finesse. Expect to see wines with more natural acidity and balance this vintage.
